Ricky M’s Pastry and Pies workshop

We’ll make our own all-butter puff, short crust, hot water and empanada pastries. And we’ll talk Filo. Yet a good pastry can be badly filled, so we’ll also look at the best pastries to use for different pies and even ask what is truly a pie (there’s plenty of debate). In a country full of the finest pork Ricky will produce a traditional English pork pie. Our pie making together will turn out some Cornish Pasties and close cousin Empanadilla. A couple of variations on the Sausage Roll, a Steak & Kidney Pie and Red Pepper & Goats Cheese Quiche.
