Spiced-up Tapas
This is where we turn up the heat. We take some traditional Spanish Tapas and introduce it to the chili pepper and lots of spices in a variety of ways. Plus we’ll introduce some tapas from central and south America. Together they’ll make at least 8 great tapas table for lovers of spiced-up small plate food. Chilled beer and water will be the order of the day as we enjoy all we have prepared.
The tapas table will usually include 8 from the following:
Pimientos de Padron
We’ll fry these unique green peppers grown in huge quantities in the small Galician village of Padron. Russian roulette as to who gets the spiciest one!
Patatas Bravas
Here it’s all about the sauce. How hot and where exactly do you put it? We’ll discuss all the possibilities
Chili bean Empanadillas
Popular Spanish and Latin American street food. We’ll hand roll the pastry and spice them up.
Chorizo Picante in Red Wine
This dish is always popular and the hot chorizo sausage we will use will lift it to new heights
Garlic Chili Prawns
What more can be said to describe this classic tapas dish
Chicken Wings
Well marinated and oven baked. Hot, spicy, tasty.
Mussels in Escabeche Sauce
Freshly steamed Mussels in a chili friendly escabeche sauce
Pinchos Morunos
Smaller skewers of pork given a slow chipotle, lime and beer marinade before we griddle them
Merguez Albondigas
Spanish meatballs with a north African flavour, drizzled with mint and yoghurt salsa
